Find Solutions To Problems and You’ve Found Your Ebook Niche

Viral Marketing | Comments (0) IMGuides @ 12:00 am

Internet Marketing is a hot niche for those with eBook businesses. It would seem that half the world is interested in making some cash online and kissing their jobs goodbye. For an increasing number, this is more than just a pipe dream - it’s a real possibility - particularly so for anyone with interests and knowledge beyond the TV schedule.

Maybe you are thinking about creating an entire business around creating and selling eBooks from your website. There’s several ways to do this and make a good living while you are following your passion.

But you don’t need to stick to the `Internet Marketing’ niche; you can create eBooks on hundreds of niche subjects, like:

Growing vegetables or flowers

Hosting great parties

Raising pigeons

Caring for soft furnishings

Potty training your baby

Car maintenance

Inexpensive holiday destinations

The list is endless but the process is exactly the same… find the need for information, or a solution to a problem, and fill it. This may sound simple but it is very powerful for attracting buyers.

Almost everyone with a website is looking for a way to make their internet business generate good profits for them. eBooks can easily do that, especially if they are chock-full of useful tips and marketing strategies that have some successful track record. Here’s how you do it:

Try making a list of several possible topics. Pick those that interest you and have some marketability in the current online scene. Now take your list and put it in interest-order, your favorite at the top and working down. Research each one of them to see if there’s a void you can fill or a problem you can solve.

Narrow your research until you are satisfied that you have topics that people will want to read. Don’t worry if you feel that your `niche’ is over-crowded - if it’s a busy niche then people are obviously spending in that niche - there will still be room for your product.

Pick some keywords that pertain to your subjects and use keyword research tools to determine the amount of specific interest in your keywords. Change keywords or keyword phrases around until you are satisfied with your selections. Try long tail keywords, phrases of 4 or 5 words that specifically focus on what the customer is looking for.

Always use your hottest keywords in your product title. Use them in your promotional materials and in your sales letters. This simple technique will attract those search engine spiders like moths to a flame and customers to your sales pages.

Once your eBook is finished, get promoting - everywhere and every way you can…every day.

Blog Content For Your Home Internet Business

Article Marketing | Comments (0) KirkBennett @ 12:00 am

Today, we’re going to discuss the type of content that is suitable for your blog in order to make it profitable as you build your home internet business. First off, I want you to understand that there is no fixed scope that your blog should have, which means you can write about whatever you’re interested in; I certainly do.

However, the difference between a profitable blog and a non-profitable blog is the way the blog is written. Just imagine, would you prefer to read your college professor’s lecture notes or the latest novel by your favorite author?

You may prefer to read the novel because it appeals more to your interest, or because it is not as mind-numbing as the lecture notes by your professor. However, the most important point is people like to read “light” stuff most of the time. You see, when people log on to your blog, they are not only looking for information - they are also looking for information they can obtain easily, and better still in a relaxed manner. Keep it brief and to the point, think “brevity” and have respect your reader’s time investment.

So, to attract more visitors as well as to keep your current visitors coming back for more, it is very important to add a human touch to your blog posts. This can be done by simply imagining you’re talking about a certain topic with your personal friend. Simply keep it conversational so your personality can shine through. Write in a manner that if your mother read your post she’d say, “Yup, my son Kirk wrote that, I can tell because he writes the way he talks.”

Another important key point is to avoid addressing your reader as a plural unit. What I really mean is you should not write as if you’re preparing a speech. Sorry, but I can’t over emphasize this point enough; write as if you’re having a conversation to a single person because this will make your visitor think of you more as a personal friend rather than a person of higher authority.

An extra bonus for your readers would be a great sense of humor, so try (if you are comfortable) to add humorous comments in your writing where suitable. But don’t go overboard on the humor, you’re really trying to build your home internet business, not try out as a writer for MAD magazine.

Besides that, it is also very useful to establish your own personality through your words. Human beings are very curious creatures, so naturally your visitors would want to know as much about you as the information you’re offering them. As you get to know me through my blog posts and articles, you’ll start to identify my style and personality. There are a whole load of words and phrases that I use daily when speaking that make their way into my writing, email, articles, and blog posts. It’s just part of who I am and blogging is an easy way to let it show without having an editor standing over my shoulder.

You see, having a distinctive personality to your home internet business (in your blog posts, articles, email) can make a world of difference between your blog about say.. hamburgers (for example)…and all the other blogs about hamburgers out there. (I like my cheeseburger “animal style”, can you guess my favorite burger restaurant?) This is a lot like creating your own brand name, where people immediately remember your blog’s name when they need to find out information about a particular subject, just like how people immediately think of McDonald’s for fast food or Nike for sportswear. I’ll be writing about creating personal brands in the near future too.

So, the lesson for today is to simply write as an equal friend to your visitors. Write to them as if you’re talking to a single person and establish your own personality on your blog.

Top 10 Habits of the Successful Internet Marketer

Building Traffic | Comments (0) GlobalBizPro @ 12:00 am

It doesn’t matter what type of online business you are starting or operating. You need to focus on Internet marketing strategies to make your business a success. Successful Internet marketers use a combination of Internet marketing tools to promote their businesses.

The methods you use to market your products or services will attract more potential buyers to your site. Here are 10 successful Internet marketing habits for you to implement into your promotional efforts.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Search engine optimization involves the volume and quality of traffic that visits your website. Through the use of keyword optimization on all of your pages, you can improve your rankings on the search engines. It is important to determine which words would most likely be used by the average person in finding products or services like the ones you offer. These words should be strategically placed throughout the content on your website pages.

Article Marketing

The use of articles as an Internet marketing tool is a wise and helpful choice for any web-based business. Publication of articles that provide information about the type of product or service you offer gives consumers something useful for free. It also gets your name and your business name out there as an expert on the subject.

Niche Marketing

Niche marketing concentrates on products and services that are not a typical part of the mainstream market. As an Internet marketing tool, niche marketing can help you target a smaller, more focused group of potential customers that are specifically searching for what you offer.

Affiliate Marketing

This is a useful Internet marketing solution that allows you to offer a benefit to other webmasters. The object is for them to advertise your website on their own site. For each potential buyer they direct to your site, they are rewarded through whatever means you have discussed.

Blog Marketing

Another useful Internet marketing tool is blog marketing. Either daily or weekly, you post information about a certain topic related to your business. This method will build your reputation as an expert on the subject and bring more traffic to your website.

Internet marketing is a fundamental part of any successful online business. Through these methods you can begin building a strong reputation for yourself and your business on the Web. Focusing on some other Internet marketing tools will bring additional traffic to your website.

RSS Feeds

These feeds are posted on other websites that attract visitors interested in the products or services you offer. They link to articles or pages on your website.

Pay Per Click

You allow other businesses to post links to their sites from your site. Each time a visitor clicks on their link, you earn money. This increases cash flow and helps to associate your business with other, better known ones.

Social Networking

Join online communities that share interests in the types of products or services you offer. You can often post links, blogs and web pages on these networks. This connects you to a community of potential buyers who are already interested in what you have to offer.

Link Building

Any promotional material you offer online should have hyperlinks that take the reader directly to your website. With hyperlinks throughout the piece, you increase the number of chances that the reader will visit your website.

Free Offers

Another way to attract traffic to your website is to offer a free, valuable gift. The offer can be as simple as a free newsletter or informational articles readers can link to. If the reader finds the free item useful, they will likely return or refer others to your site.

These are some of the smartest and easiest methods to develop good Internet marketing habits. It is said that about 60% of a business owner’s time is spent on marketing. If this is true, then focusing on the types of Internet marketing tools that will bring you repeat business makes the best use of your time.

6 Essential Tools for Affiliate Marketers

Affiliate Programs | Comments (0) jjarrett @ 12:00 am

Although affiliate marketing is the easiest business to get into because you don’t have to deal with customer service, and you don’t need a lot of money, it’s still a pretty competitive business. Affiliate marketing does have a lot of advantages though, like having thousands of products to choose from, and any product you try to sell that doesn’t sell well, you can always abandon it.

Whether you have a website or not, and whether you choose to market using free or paid techniques, you’ll get started quickly if you have the right tools. There are lots of tools you can purchase to help you get started, but if you’re willing to do a little research, you’ll find that most of the time, there’s a free version out there you can use that will work just as well.

Below are tools I recommend every affiliate have. It makes it easier to organize your information, build your business quickly, and start making money faster.

1. A good text editor

If you use a Windows based PC, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. Wordpad is great for creating documents, but it’s not something you want to write HTML with. Notepad is fine as a basic editor, but again, you can’t really write HTML with it, and Notepad limits the number of characters you can have in a file.

What you need is a good text editor that will help you edit HTML files, write articles and sales materials, and any other tasks that require a text editor.

The best way to find a good text editor is to do a search in the search engines for free text editors. You want to search for text editors that are freeware, or open source, which are both free.

2. A good website builder

If you plan to send others through your subscription page prior to sending them to an affiliate program, or you want to create a website that showcases the affiliate programs you sell, you’ll need a good website builder.

A good website builder will have a WYSIWYG interface. This is What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get. You can actually see what your site will look like as you build it. You also won’t need to know how to write HTML to build your site.

A website builder is also useful if you buy premade websites of any kind. This will make it easier for you to edit those sites.

3. Keyword research tools

Whether you plan to build a website or not, you will need good keyword research tools because these tools will help you find the right keywords to use in your articles, site content, and your sales materials.

By writing keyword rich content, regardless of what content you write, this content will rank higher on the search engines, especially if it’s posted on sites that rank high in the search engines. In fact, this content may even help your site rank higher if you have one.

You can find plenty of good keyword research tools online. Just search for “free keyword research tools” in your favorite search engine (with or without the quotes).

4. A PDF Creator

If you’re not selling your own products, why would you need this?

It’s really simple. Although a lot of affiliate program managers offer free ebooks and reports you can brand with your affiliate links (a pretty effective marketing technique for affiliates because it’s viral), not everyone does.

With a word processing program, you can write your own short reports, include your affiliate links, convert it to PDF, and then give it away.

You don’t need Adobe to do it either. There are plenty of free solutions available on the internet, including Open Office, which has one of the best PDF creators I’ve ever seen. Just do a search for “Free PDF creators”.

5. Accounting software

In addition to keeping track of your affiliate programs, which can be done with a spreadsheet, you’ll want to keep track of your income and expenses.

For those that live in the United States, you’ll want to use single entry accounting as this is what the IRS recommends.

Like your affiliate program list, where you’ll keep track of all the information related to your affiliate programs in a spreadsheet, maybe all you will need is spreadsheets for your accounting.

If you want something more comprehensive, then you should search the internet for free accounting software. Microsoft offers an “express” version of it’s accounting software, but there are plenty of others you can use.

Additionally, personal finance software can sometimes be used to keep track of your business expenses and income, and you can customize the accounts to track your spending if you need to lower business expenses. Search for “free accounting software” or “free single entry accounting software.” If you need software to manage your affiliate programs, then search for “personal affiliate manager”.

6. Autoresponder

If you plan to build lists, whether you use minisites or content sites, you will definitely need an autoresponder. An autoresponder will save you hours and hours by taking care of all of the mundane tasks of maintaining lists, like allowing others to automatically subscribe and unsubscribe.

Although there are plenty of free, and reliable services available, these services rely on advertising to make their money. That’s advertising that goes into the headers and footers of your emails you send out. Although you can start off with free services, I would recommend that you upgrade to a paid service as soon as possible.

Even if you decide not to build a website, these resources will still help you build an effective business.

The Keys to Advertising Slmple Work At Home Opportunities

Site Promotion | Comments (0) playmoneybiz @ 12:00 am

There are things a person can do when it comes to advertising that may work for some businesses, but that does not work for theirs. Understanding how to target advertise is incredibly important in an online home business.

Target market is a term that a person will hear a lot in business. The idea of a target market is that a product will not always sell to everyone. For example, baby diapers are not going to sell to children. The best people to market to for baby diapers would be moms because it has been shown they are the most likely to buy them. So, a target market is basically, the group of people who is most likely to buy a product.

Figuring out the target market for some products will be simple, but it can be challenging for other products. A person may have to do some research and look through their customer records to determine what their target market is. However, the work is all worth it because once the target market is identified, the target advertising can begin.

Target advertising involves specific advertising to the target market. The target market will have certain places they frequent which make the perfect places to place advertising. They will also have a certain style that can be used to design the advertising. Knowing the target market makes advertising so much easier and more effective.

Another aspect of advertising effectively is to understand competition. Competition is any business that sells the same or similar products or services. This is important because there are also businesses out there that are complementary businesses. These businesses sell products or services that are not going to compete with your business, but actually complement your business. They may sell a product that works with your product or they may sell to your target market. It is a great idea to hook up with a complementing business when advertising.

The idea of a target market and complementing business can really take marketing efforts to a whole new level. Marketing efforts can be streamlined. Costs for marketing will go down and the effectiveness will really skyrocket. It is trick of marketing that many people do not understand, so understanding it can mean a lot of success for the home business owner.

For a business owner to take advantage of these concepts they should start by identifying their target market and complementing businesses. Then they can begin to contact the other businesses and develop advertising that works for their target market.

This is a great insider tip on marketing that many home business owners never end up knowing. It is something that can really help a business go from something small to something amazing. Every home business owner should understand these two key concepts in order to make their home business a success.
